Stella M. Burner 84 Oblong, Illinois died at 2:18 a.m. Thursday August 23, 2001 at her residence. She was born on September 24, 1917 in Bowers Hill, Virginia. Stella was the daughter of Blazej & Agnes Sondej. On December 24, 1938 she married William "Harmon" Burner. He died June 10, 1980. She was a Homemaker and member of Oblong First Christian Church. For over 40 years she was the Childrens Sunday School secretary at Oblong First Christian Church. She also belonged to Mystic Star Chapter #548 Order of Eastern Star was a Cub and Boy Scout leader for many years. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, mushroom hunting and fishing.

Stella is survived by, 1 son Wendell Roy Burner; 1 daughter and son-in-law Nancy & Russell Snider; 3 grandsons Greg & Rachel Snider, Jerome Saunders and Richard Wyrick; 4 great grandchildren Katlin Snider, Harlie Postlewait, Stephen Poslewait and Joshua Saunders; sisters & brother-in-law Amela Larson and Helen & Barnard Scanlon; brother-in-law Doc Warren; sister in-law Mariellen Maehler along with several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Husband, 2 brothers Lloyd & Frank Sondej and 2 sisters Ann Warren and Agnes Pruitt.

Burial is in White Oak Church Cemetery.
